What To Do If The Chicken Has Indigestion?

What to do if the chicken has indigestion?

It is not easy for breeders to hatch chickens and raise chickens. Chickens have poor digestion ability, poor resistance, and poor insulation ability. They can easily die at the chick stage. For example, chicks often suffer from indigestion and indigestion, which may not be excreted, leading to serious consequences. So why do chickens have indigestion and what to do with indigestion, let’s learn together:

1. Reason

A common cause of indigestion in chickens is coughing up food, which is also called sclerosis. Either eating too much at once, or drinking too much water, and eating moldy, unclean feed. Feeding or eating too rough food, such as corn without crushing, is too difficult to digest. It may also be an infected infectious disease, which indirectly leads to indigestion.

2. Feeding methods

After the hair shaft is born, within three days, first feed clean water, a small amount of feeding, there is a pecking phenomenon, it can be seen as feeding a little ground feed, providing drinking water. Feed has been fed, and only half a month after birth, can be fed with small pellets. Can also be fed corn, soybeans, and other ground powder, can not be fed directly, otherwise it can not be digested. Provide clean drinking water at any time and drink it yourself.

3. Help digestion

Add garlic or dandelion to the feed, as well as flavoring agents such as citrus aurantium and fennel to help digestion. Adding hawthorn and malt can directly promote digestion. Provide a small grain of sand one month later to increase the digestive capacity of the chicken. When indigestion occurs, stop feeding, inject a few milliliters of cooking oil into the chicken crop, gently massage, and then gradually unblock. Or feed a little more water, massage, wash with 2% boric acid after discharge, and feed a piece of oxytetracycline.

4. Disease prevention

If it is due to indigestion caused by infectious diseases, diarrhea, use antimicrobial drugs such as haloperic acid hydrochloride, if there is coccidiosis, use anticoccidial drugs, add 0.2% probiotics or 0.1% enzyme preparation to the feed . Chicks should be vaccinated against diseases with related treatments to avoid harm.
